Entering Your Network Data

Because the Network Analysis model requires a specific data format, users with their own data should review the pre-formatted template to learn about the appropriate structure.

A network analysis consists of one data block containing the node interactions. A second data block containing manual seeding is optional:

  • Network data (required) describes the interaction between the various nodes.
  • Seeding data (optional) describes the nodes where the diffusion process will initiate.

Network data

The network data table can be structured in two different ways:

  1. Pairwise: Each row of data consists of a pair of nodes that are linked.

  2. Adjacency List: Each row consists of a list of all the nodes that are attached to a focal node. The Adjacency list structure allows for more data to be incorporated for analysis within Enginius.

Manual seeding

Data consists of the exact set of nodes where the diffusion process will be initiated.
